Gilles Herard
Gilles Herard (born 1952) is a Canadian finance expert known for his work in international banking and project funding.[1][2]

Early life and education
Gilles Herard was born in 1952 in Montreal, Canada. After high school, he became a Fellow of the Canadian Bankers Institute. He later studied International trade at the University of Central Florida.[2]
Career
Herard started his banking career in 1972 at Toronto-Dominion Bank, where he focused on administration and credit. In the early 1980s, he joined Capital Corp Merchant Banking and began working on funding large international projects.[3][4]
Since 2009, he has been recognized every year in Orlando’s Business Hall of Fame for his work in international financial consulting. In 2011, he launched a $350 million fund to support mid-sized movie projects in North America, helping filmmakers who had trouble getting money during the global financial crisis.[5] In 2017, he won the Gamechanger of the Year award from Acquisition Finance Magazine.[6]
