Half-Life: Alyx
Half-Life: Alyx is a 2020 virtual reality (VR) first-person shooter game. The game happens between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2. The player controls Alyx Vance who is on a mission to take control of a superweapon which belongs to Combine.

Plot
The events of Half-Life: Alyx happen five years before the events of Half-Life 2.[1] Alyx Vance and her father Dr. Eli Vance are captured by the Combine forces. Resistance member Russell rescues Alyx. He tells her that Eli will be sent to Nova Prospekt for questioning.[2]

According to review aggregator Metacritic, Half-Life: Alyx received "universal acclaim".[9] Reviewers at publications such as VG247, Tom's Hardware, and Video Games Chronicle have said that the game is VR's "killer app".[10][11][12][13][14]
Vic Hood from TechRadar said that: "This certainly isn't the long-awaited Half-Life 3. However, it's nice to see Valve following through on a Half-Life project as the company has run hot and cold on whether we would ever see another entry in the series. But we forever live in hope for a Half-Life 3."[15]
