Huang Yong Ping

Huáng Yǒng Pīng (Chinese: 黄永砯; 18 February 1954 – 20 October 2019)[1] was a Chinese-French contemporary artist and one of the most famous Chinese Avant-garde artists. He was born in Xiamen, China. He was seen as the most controversial artist of the Chinese art scene in the 1980s.[2]
In 1999, Huang represented France in the Venice Biennale. In 2016, his piece "Empires" was selected for the Monumenta biennial exposition at the Grand Palais in Paris.[3]
Huang died in Paris, aged 65, on 20 October 2019.[4] The cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage.[5]
