Hurricane Francine

Hurricane Francine was a moderate Atlantic tropical cyclone in September 2024.[1] The storm struck south central Louisiana as a category 2 hurricane. Winds were 100 miles per hour or more. The state of Mississippi was also affected by the storm when Francine cut through the area.

Damage from Francine was almost $1.5 billion. No people, however, were killed.
