International Cricket Council

(Redirected from ICC)

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909. It was renamed in 1965 as the International Cricket Conference, and in 1989 as the International Cricket Council.

Membership levels

Following its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in July 2025, the ICC has 110 member countries, with the possibility of 113 by the end of 2025.[1] There are twelve Full Members, whose men's teams are automatically eligible to play both Test and One Day International (ODI) cricket. The other 98 are Associate Members. Until June 2017, there was a third tier called Affiliate Members, which was then abolished so that all Affiliate Members became Associate Members.[2] All Full and Associate Members play Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket.[3][4]
