Iga Świątek
Iga Natalia Świątek[1] (born 31 May 2001) is a Polish professional tennis player. She has a career-high Women's Tennis Association (WTA) ranking of No. 17 in the world. She is the highest-ranked teenager in women's singles. She was the champion at the 2020 French Open and is the first Polish Grand Slam singles champion in history. With her French Open title, she also became the youngest singles champion at the tournament since Rafael Nadal in 2005, and the youngest women's singles champion since Monica Seles in 1992.
Świątek was born in Warsaw. Her father, Tomasz, was an Olympic rower.
