Ionic formula
An ionic formula is a chemical formula for an ionic compound.[1] It tells us the relative amount of ions present in the compound.[1] For instance, in NaCl, the ratio of Na+ to Cl- is 1:1 while Al(NO3)3, the ratio of Al3+ to NO3- is 1:3.[1]
