Ishigaki, Okinawa

History
Ishigaki was established in 1908 as Yaeyama Village. In 1914 it was renamed to Ishigaki Village. It grew to become a town in 1926 and a city in 1947.[2]
The Senkakus were included in the village of 1908, in the village of 1914, in the town in 1926, and in the city in 1947.[2]
In 2013, the Lua error in Module:Unicode_data at line 293: attempt to index local 'data_module' (a boolean value). opened.[3]
