Islamic Republic News Agency
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) is the official news agency of Iran.[1] It was first started on November 13, 1934, as Pars News Agency during the rule of Reza Shah. The Iranian government funds and controls it through the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. IRNA also publishes a newspaper called Iran. As of September 2024, its Managing Director is Hossein Jaberi-Ansari. IRNA has 60 offices inside Iran and 30 more in different countries around the world.[2]
