J. J. Williams (rugby union)

John James Williams MBE (1 April 1948 – 29 October 2020), known universally as J. J. Williams, was a Welsh rugby union player. He played for the national team as a winger thirty times from 1973 to 1979.[1] From 1974 to 1977, he played for the British and Irish Lions. Williams was born in Maesteg, Wales.

Williams died on 29 October 2020 in Maesteg at the age of 72.[2]
