Jane Swift in 2001
Jane M. Swift (born February 24, 1965)[1] is an American politician. She was the 69th Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, in office from 1999 to 2003. She was the Acting Governor of Massachusetts from 2001 to 2003. As of 2014, she is the only female governor in the state of Massachusetts. Swift is Republican.
Swift was born in North Adams, Massachusetts.
