Jim McGovern (American politician)

James Patrick McGovern (born November 20, 1959) is an American politician. He is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Massachusetts's 2nd congressional district since 1997. He is the senior member of the House Rules Committee. McGovern is the chair of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China as well as the co-chair of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
