Joel Wachs
Joel Wachs (born March 1, 1939) is an American politician. He is the president of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in New York City.
He was for thirty years a member of the Los Angeles City Council from 1971 until 2002. He was president of the city council from 1981 until 1983. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Wachs ran for Mayor of Los Angeles in 1999. He is openly gay.[1]
