John Saxon

John Saxon (born Carmine Orrico; August 5, 1936 – July 25, 2020) was an American actor and martial artist. He has worked on more than 200 movies in his 60 year long career starting in 1954. He was born in New York City to an Italian-American family.[1][2]

Saxon was known for his work in westerns and horror movies as well as for his role as Roper in the 1973 movie Enter the Dragon.[3] He was well known for playing Lt. Donald Thompson in the 1984 slasher horror movie A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Saxon died on July 25, 2020 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee from pneumonia-related problems, aged 83.[4]
