John Sweeney (labor leader)

John Joseph Sweeney (May 5, 1934 – February 1, 2021) was an American labor leader. He was president of the AFL-CIO from 1995 to 2009.[1][2] He was born in New York City.

Sweeney died on February 1, 2021 at the age of 86.[3]
