John Whitehead
Sir John Stainton Whitehead GCMG CVO (20 September 1932 – 8 November 2013)[1] is a British diplomat and businessman.[2]

Career
Whitehead joined the British Foreign Service in 1955.[3]
He was Ambassador from the United Kingdom to Japan (1986 - 1992).[3]
After his retirement from the diplomatic service, he was a senior advisor to Deutsche Bank, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and other international companies.[4]
He became Chairman of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Trust Bank (Japan).[4]
