K. T. McFarland

Kathleen Troia "K.T." McFarland (born July 22, 1951) was the Deputy National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump from January 20, 2017 to May 19, 2017.

On April 9, 2017, it was reported that she would soon be leaving this post and be nominated to be the next United States Ambassador to Singapore.

McFarland served previously as a staff member on the U.S. National Security Council in the 1970s and a staff member at the Defense Department in the 1980s. McFarland ran unsuccessfully for the Republican Party nomination in the United States Senate election in New York, 2006, then was a Fox News national security analyst and a contributor to its website opinion page in the 2010s.
