Karl Sesta
Karl Sesta (18 March 1906 – 12 July 1974) was a footballer . He represented as defender both the Austrian and German national sides.[1]

Club career
The trained blacksmith Sesta began his football career in 1919 in Simmering at Vorwärts XI. He then played for the clubs SC Simmering, Teplitzer FK (1927), WAC (from 1928), where he won his first title in 1931 by winning the Austrian Cup. 1934 he went to Austria Wien. His greatest success with Austria was winning the Mitropapokal 1936, the forerunner of today's European Cup. Sesta won the Cup twice more in 1935 and 1936, but he was denied a championship title.
International career
He made his debut for Austria in May 1932 against Czechoslovakia. He participated at the 1934 FIFA World Cup.[2] He earned 44 caps for Austria, scoring one goal.[3]
After the annexation of Austrian through Germany, he played three international matches for the German selection in 1941 and 1942. After the Second World War he played Austria's first two games on August 19 and 20, 1945 against Hungary.
Manager career
After the end of his playing career he worked as a coach at home and abroad (among others at the Wiener Sport-Club, Wiener AC, SK Vorwärts Steyr, Austria Salzburg and BC Augsburg).
