Knighton, Powys
Knighton (Welsh: Tref-y-clawdd) is a small market town and community in the county of Powys, Wales that straddles the England–Wales border. It is in the historic county of Radnorshire.

Part of the town, including Knighton railway station, is in Shropshire, England.
At the 2011 census, the town had a population of 3,172 people; 3,007 of which lived in Powys and 140 in Shropshire.
On the last Saturday in August, the town holds an annual Carnival and Show, which attracts visitors from all around the world. Its two parades, one at midday and another around 8 pm, consist of various themed carnival floats with people in fancy dress. The show takes place at the town's showground at Bryn-y-Castell, which is also home to Knighton Town Football Club, Knighton Cricket Club and Knighton Hockey Club.
