Kokshetau
Kokshetau (Kazakh: [Көкшетау] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is a city in Kazakhstan, the capital of the Akmola Region. Until 1993 it was called Kokchetav (Russian: Кокчетав). As of 2023, 174,613 people live here, and 191,099 people live in the urban area.[1] Kokshetau is mostly known for its beautiful nature and tourism.

The name of the city is translated from Kazakh as “blue mountain”.
