Lewiston, California
Lewiston is a census-designated place (CDP) in Trinity County, California. The population was 1,222 at the 2020 census.[1]
Lewiston is a post office that has existed since 1854. Benjamin Franklin Lewis, the adoptive son of town founder Tom Palmer, who had a gold mining operation on the Trinity River with Lewis during the early Gold Rush, is honored by the community's name.
