Liberty University
Liberty University is a private, Christian university in Lynchburg, Virginia. The university has about 69,214 students. It was founded in 1971 by Jerry Falwell.[1] The current chancellor of the university is Jonathan Falwell (the son of Jerry Falwell).
Sports
The athletics teams of the university are called the Flames (men) and Lady Flames (women). They have 18 varsity teams, most of which compete in Conference USA (CUSA). Three teams in sports that CUSA does not sponsor play elsewhere. Women's lacrosse plays in the Big East Conference, men's soccer in the Ohio Valley Conference, and women's swimming & diving in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Rawlings School of Divinity, Freedom Tower was completed in February 2018. At 275 feet, it is the tallest building in Lynchburg.
