London Underground 1962 Stock
The 1962 Tube Stock was a type of London Underground tube train built for use on the Central line. They were used on the Central line between 1962 and 1995. After that, the London Underground 1995 stock replaced them on the central line. These tube trains were very similar to the London Underground 1959 Stock used on Piccadilly line. They were later used on the Northern line until 1999. After that, they were retired. Most were scrapped but some were kept for other uses. Some, such as the one pictured, are kept for departmental use.
