Lorestan province

Lorestan Province is a province of western Iran. It is the home land of the Lurs people and of the Luri language. Lorestan is in the Zagros Mountains, in the western part of Iran.

Lorestan is located close to the border with Iraq. Situated in a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains, Lorestan is about 100 kilometers (about 62 miles) east of the border with Iraq.[2]
Some of the important cities are Khorramabad, Borujerd, and Aligudarz.
