Luhansk
Luhansk (Ukrainian: Луганськ, romanized: Luhans'k; Russian: Луганск) is a city in eastern Ukraine, near the border with Russia. It is the administrative center of the Luhansk Oblast. In 2020, 401,297 people lived there.[1]
History
At the Lukhansk airport, Ukrainian soldiers were fighting from May to September 2024. Loss of Ukrainian control of the Lukhansk airport: On the night of September 1, 2014 the last remaining Ukrainian soldiers left the ruined airport; It was defended for 146 days.
