Madison County, Illinois
Madison County is a county in the U.S. state of Illinois. In the 2020 census, 265,859 people lived there.[1] Its county seat is Edwardsville and largest city is Granite City.

In 1843, a small amount of land was transferred to Bond County, reducing Madison to its current size.
