"Motherland" (Sicilian: Matriterracode: scn is deprecated ; pronunciation: MAH-tree-TERR-ah) is the national anthem of Sicily. This song was made by a pop singer named Vincenzo Spampinato, after it was chosen in a competition. It became the region's national anthem in 2003.
