Marina Ripa Di Meana
Marina Ripa Di Meana (born Maria Elide Punturieri and previously known as Marina Lante della Rovere; 21 October 1941 – 5 January 2018) was an Italian writer, actress, director, stylist and TV personality.[1] She was born in Reggio Calabria.
Ripa di Meana wrote 14 books over her lifetime, however she is probably best known for her first two autobiographical books, I miei primi quarant'anni (My First Forty Years, 1984) and La più bella del reame (The Most Beautiful in the Realm, 1988), which became bestsellers.
Ripa di Meana directed the controversial movie Cattive ragazze and starred in Assassinio sul Tevere.
From 1982 until her death, she was married to politician Carlo Ripa di Meana.
Ripa di Meana was suffering from kidney cancer in the years before her death.[1][2] On 5 January 2018, Ripa di Meana died in Rome after deciding to undergo deep palliative sedation at the age of 76.[3]
