Mark James (songwriter)
Mark James (born Francis Rodney Zambon; November 29, 1940 – June 8, 2024)[1] was an American singer-songwriter and producer. He wrote hits for singers B.J. Thomas, Brenda Lee, and Elvis Presley. He wrote Presley's last US number one hit single, "Suspicious Minds."[2]

James died on June 8, 2024 at his home in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 83.[3][4]
