Maxime Vachier-Lagrave
Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (born 21 October 1990) is a French chess Grandmaster and the 2009 World Junior Chess Champion. MVL, as he is sometimes called, is at present their strongest player.

He completed his final grandmaster norm in 2005, at 14 years, 4 months. He got his norms in these tournaments:
- Paris Championship 2004: finished 3rd with 6½ points from nine rounds and a rating performance of 2703
- NAO GM Tournament 2004: won the tournament with 6/9 and got a performance of 2605
- GM Tournament of Évry: from 21 to 27 February 2005, finished second with 7½ and a performance of 2712
