Meknès or Meknes, Moroccan Amazigh : ⴰⵎⴽⵏⴰⵙ - Ameknas, Arab: مكناس - Mknas, is a city in the north of Morocco. About 632,000 people were living in this city in 2014.
Meknès is one of the four Imperial cities of Morocco. The city dates from the 11th century. It lies north of the Middle Atlas.
