Mickey Spillane
Frank Morrison Spillane (/spɪˈleɪn/; March 9, 1918 – July 17, 2006), better known as Mickey Spillane, was an American crime novelist and actor. He was best known for his Mike Hammer novels. More than 225 million copies of his books have sold internationally.[1][2] He was born in New York City.
Spillane died on July 17, 2006 in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina of pancreatic cancer, aged 88.[3][4]
