Mimaropa

MIMAROPA, also known as Southern Tagalog Islands,[1] is a region of the Philippines.[2] It was also called Region IV-B. The provinces of the region are Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan.[3] The capital is Calapan.

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and El Nido Marine Reserve Park are in the region.

History

The MIMAROPA region was created by Executive Order No. 103 in 2002.[3]
