National Space Development Agency

NASDA was responsible for developing satellites and space exerpiments.^[2]

History

NASDA was established for peaceful purposes in 1969.^[2]

In 2003, NASDA merged with the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) and the National Aerospace Laboratory of Japan (NAL). The three groups became one Independent Administrative Institution called the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).^[3]

Several projects at International Space Station (ISS) were started under NASDA; and the work continues as part of JAXA's on-going research programs.
