The Na'vi language is a language that was made for the Na'vi in the 2009 film Avatar. It is an invented language. This means a person created it; no one grows up speaking it. Only one person can really speak the Na'vi language. One website has been known to help people learn Na'vi.
History
The first Na'vi words were made by the professor Paul Frommer in 2005 for the film. When they released the movie in 2009, the vocabulary increased to a thousand words despite the understanding of its grammar was limited to the language's creator.
Many people are learning the language. Websites like Learn Na'vi[1] have many learning materials and a forum to learn with others.[2]
