Nagano (Japanese: 長野市) is a city in Japan. It is the capital of Nagano Prefecture (Japanese: 長野県). Nagano has been recognized as a core city since 1999.[1]
As of October 1, 2007, 2,182,190 people lived in Nagano.
History
In 1998, the Olympic Games were held in Nagano.
