Nauvoo, Illinois
Nauvoo is a city in Illinois in the United States. It was settled by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Joseph Smith, the founder and prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, built a temple in Nauvoo, Illinois, according to what he saw in a vision.
original temple was burnt, but a new one was built in 2002. Later in the 19th century, there was a utopian (ideal) colony built by a group called the Icarians.
