Noach Dear

Noach Dear (November 20, 1953 – April 19, 2020) was an American attorney, Democratic politician, and jurist. He was a New York Supreme Court judge. Dear was elected in 2008 as a civil court judge, in 2010 as an Acting Supreme Court Justice. In 2015, he was made a permanent justice to the court. He was a member of the New York City Council from 1983 to 2001.[1]

Dear was born in New York City. He died on April 19, 2020 of COVID-19 in New York City, aged 66.[2]
