Oleksandr Omelchenko
Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Omelchenko (Ukrainian: Олександр Олександрович Омельченко Oleksandr Oleksandrovyč Omel'čenko; 9 August 1938 – 25 November 2021) was a Ukrainian politician. He was Mayor of Kyiv from 1999 until 2006. He was also a member of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) from 2007 to 2012.

Omelchenko was a candidate for President of Ukraine in the 2004 election as a member of the Unity Party.
Omelchenko died on 25 November 2021 from problems caused by COVID-19 in Kyiv, aged 83.[2]
