Omarama
Omarama is a small town in the Waitaki District, South Canterbury. It is on the junction of State Highway 8 and 83. It is 31 kilometers south of Twizel and 52 kilometers west of Kurow. It has a small school situated in the town.

Omarama Media
Omarama was traditionally a wool growing area.

Omarama Clay Cliffs in Waitaki District, New Zealand. Formed along the Osler Fault, the Clay Cliffs are deeply dissected erosional features. These cliffs are made from fine-grained clays, silts, and gravels deposited by glacial rivers.
