Papua New Guinea at the Olympics
Papua New Guinea began competing at the Olympic Games in 1976.[1] Their athletes have been in every Summer Olympic Games since, but not the 1980 Summer Olympics. The nation has never been in the Winter Olympic Games. They have not won any medals.[2] The National Olympic Committee for Papua New Guinea was formed in 1973. It was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1974.
