Paul Émile Chabas (March 7, 1869 – May 10, 1937) was a French painter. He was born in Nantes. He studied with William-Adolphe Bouguereau. He often travelled, to Norway, Algeria and Greece. During his lifetime, he was known for the portraits he painted. He liked to paint naked girls, in natural settings. Probably his best known work is September Morning, dated 1912.
