Pekanbaru
Pekanbaru (Jawi: ڤكنبارو) is the capital city of Riau province, Indonesia. It is the third largest city on the island of Sumatra.[1] It has an area of 632.26 square kilometres (244.12 square miles). As of 2014 about 1,030,732 people live there.[2] Pekanbaru has several industries. It exports palm oil, paper and crude oil.[1] It is a very clean city. Ferry passengers from Singapore used it as a transfer point before low-cost air travel became more popular.[3]
