Petropavl (Kazakh: [Петропавл] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help), Russian: Петропавловскcode: ru is deprecated ) is a city in Kazakhstan, the capital of the North Kazakhstan Region. It is located on the right bank of the Ishim River. As of 2023, 222,044 people live here.^[1] It is also known as Qyzyljar (Kazakh: [Қызылжар] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) among Kazakh people.

Petropavl is located 40 km from the border with Russia.
