Tropical fruit such as avocado can benefit from special seed treatments (invented for that particular tropical fruit)

Plant propagation is when a plant is distributed. There are several ways to do this:

• Division
• Grafting (used with fruit trees, especially)
• Stolons or runners
• Micropropagation
• Storage organs such as bulbs, corms, tubers and rhizomes
• Striking or cuttings
• Twin-scaling
