Pride (2014 movie)
Pride is a 2014 British historical comedy-drama movie written by Stephen Beresford and directed by Matthew Warchus. It based on the true story of a group of lesbian and gay activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners' strike in 1984, which would become the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign.[1] It stars Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, Dominic West, Paddy Considine, Andrew Scott, George MacKay, Joseph Gilgun and Ben Schnetzer.
The movie was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and three BAFTA Awards. It was released on 12 September 2014.
