Prisoner of the Mountains
Prisoner of the Mountains (Russian: Кавказский пленник, Kavkazskiy plennik), also known as Prisoner of the Caucasus, is a 1996 Russian Kazakhstani war drama movie directed by Sergei Bodrov and was based on the 1872 novella by Leo Tolstoy. It stars Oleg Menshikov, Sergei Bodrov Jr., Aleksei Zharkov, Aleksandr Bureev and was distributed by Orion Pictures. It was nominated for an Academy Award in 1997.
