File:Agreement relating to the separation of Singapore from Malaysia as an independent and sovereign State.djvu The Proclamation of Singapore is part of an agreement about the separation of Singapore from Malaysia as an independent and sovereign country dated on 7 August 1965 between the Governments of Malaysia and Singapore, and an act to change the Constitution of Malaysia and the Malaysia Act on 9 August 1965 signed by the leaders of both countries.[1][2]
