Rakaposhi-Haramosh Mountains
The Rakaposhi-Haramosh Mountains is a group of mountains in the Karakoram range. It was what is called a subrange, or a smaller mountain range inside of a larger one. It is located in Gilgit-Baltistan, in Pakistan.
The Barpu and the Chogo Lungma Glaciers are the northern border for these mountains. In the east, the Shigar River is the border. The Gilgit and Indus Rivers form the border in the south. The Hunza River is the border in the west.[1]
The subrange is named after two mountains, Rakaposhi and Haramosh. These have some of the largest Topographic prominence in the world.[2][1]
