Javan rhinoceros

The Javan rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus) is a herbivorous browser that belongs to the order of the Perissodactyla and is one of the three species of rhino native to Asia. Scientists think about 60 are alive.[1]

The Indian rhinoceros pictured here is the species most closely related to the Javan rhinoceros; they are the two members of the type genus Rhinoceros.
Java's Ujung Kulon National Park is the home of all remaining Javan rhinos.
